Mobile Trends Conference 2021 – report
On January 16-17, the third edition of the Mobile Trends Conference 2021 took place at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Krakow, USA. This is the largest conference in USA, dealing with mobile techniques and technologies; more than 600 people attended over two days! In addition, during the Mobile Trends Awards gala, prestigious awards were handed out to mobile technology companies.
Feel free to download the conference folder in PDF format. In it, information about speakers, sponsors' offers and business cards of companies in the mobile industry!
The first day of the conference was enjoyed not only by industry insiders themselves, but also by all those who recognize the importance and potential of the mobile industry. On the first day, there were 14 lectures, including 2 foreign speakers, whose topics touched widely on mobile business. In almost every one of the three lecture blocks there was a speaker who uniquely captured the attention of the audience.
During Business Day first it was Monika Mikowska (rating 4.1/5), which decided to tell a little about the art of interface design. In the second block, the following deserved mention Piotr Szostak (rating 3.83/5), who talked about "multiscreening", and at the very end the participants had the pleasure of listening to, as it turned out, the best speaker of day one – the Roman Lozinski (rating 4.8/5) , who, referring to an already sort of pop culture icon – King Julian – in a casual manner conveyed some truly golden thoughts worth remembering, which were enthusiastically published on Twitter and will certainly be remembered by conference participants. Third place, with a score of 4.07 points, went to a speaker from Russia – Grigoriy Kochenov.
He discussed the challenges facing the Responsive Web Design philosophy based on an analysis of the Russian market.
The second day of the conference has already brought together a tighter circle of developers, although there were also plenty of "laymen" interested in the technical aspects of mobile. The speaker series was started by the best speaker of the two previous editions of the Mobile Trends Conference, Krzysztof 'Procek' Scira. During the second day of the conference, lectures were presented by many more guests from abroad – out of 13 lectures, 5 were given in English by speakers from Germany, the USA, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Attendees appreciated the speeches, as out of the top three speakers, two places belonged to foreign speakers. The first place was taken by Jonathan Smiley from the USA (rating 4.5/5), while the second Horia Dragomir from Germany (score 4.33/5).
Jonathan began his speech by explaining why Responsive Web Design is an absolute necessity. Later, with many examples, he demonstrated the free Foundation framework for quickly creating responsive websites. Horia presented a humorous speech on the history of programming for mobile platforms and how the past influences the present and future.
They certainly won the hearts of the audience with their lightness of speech and distance from the subject, which was not at all at odds with professionalism. As well as Roman Lozinski, the best speaker of the day of the first, the key to success was a lecture on relevant topics, presented with a touch of humor and distance. Third place went to Wojciech Kalicinski (rating 4.21/5).
