New icons for Android? – leaked by Google!
Google I/O developer conference is two months away, June 25-26, 2021. Meanwhile, it's already getting hot, and many people are wondering what changes may be coming to Android. At the moment we do not know much, but the first leak has already appeared, carrying with it… new icons!
Icons depicting the "future" of Android have leaked online. The new design is called "Moonshine" and brings more or less subtle changes to the existing icons. We don't yet know what other changes may come (and whether those will be 100% implemented), but for now the icons will change:
- Music Play
- Play books
- Videos
- Games
- Google+
- Calendar
- Contacts
- Chrome
- YouTube
- Maps
- Gmail
- Hangouts
- Camera
- Play store
All of the aforementioned icons will change somewhat in appearance – on the one hand to a more simplified look, on the other to perhaps a more "designer" look, reminiscent of those we might see surfing the Internet.
For now, nothing more is known about further changes Google may be planning. It remains to have your hand on the pulse and wait to see what the Google I/O conference will bring. Meanwhile share your impressions with us – How do you like the new icons?
Would you be happy to see them at your place, or are you a "traditionalist"?
