Military Mistreated
Michelle Malkin has been chronicaling the assault from within on our military, the latest of articles detailing a memo sent to recruiters and their stations. Just prior to that article, Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward (MAF) was in Washington D.C. for a hearing on the escalating violent attacks on recruiting stations across the United States. Please read MAF’s report, parts A and B. In addition, MAF has a new TV ad
One is beyond anger and depression over this travesty. A terrorist by any other name is still a terrorist. A segment of the U.S. population has declared war on the nation but we are helpless to do anything about it. Law enforcement in various cities do little to nothing. Politicians in the nation’s capitol do nothing, or cheer them.
One also wonders what these “anti-american” citizens would do if there were no recruiting stations and no all-volunteer military.

Stephanie,
Things are going to get worse before they get better. The pinkos have lost the war against the war. The dems no longer can use them as a stick to hit the President with, and have all but abandoned them this election season. Where is Cindy She-Ham? Notice they are absent from the campaign trails as the dems hope the public will forget their unfortunate stance on the war.
Meanwhile the infuriated and abandoned pinkos have no where to go with their pacifism but to violence. Apparently they don’t see the irony - and that we get their message: It’s not that violence isn’t required sometimes, but it can only be used against America, not for her protection.
You are correct - this is an insurrection - a war against America within her own borders. What they have achieved is broad-ranging disdain - and they will likely undermine the remaining misguided confidence dems and the press have fabricated for this election.
Each time one of these idiots destroys American property or assails our defenders they pronounce for all America to see the type of response Rev. Wright engenders with his anti-American diatribes in the pulpit.
The difference between an all-volunteer army and the fascists attacking them is never more clear than when the mask falls off the violent underbelly of leftism, while the soldier’s uniform stands untarnished, and throws off the offending feculent punkies with a swat.
It’s an exercise in impotence for the pinkos, and they seem to be working overtime to prove our point.
Now if only the government would enforce existing laws against vandalism. Or perhaps we should publish headquarters addresses for Code Pink - and perhaps home addresses of their members - since vandalism is OK with the government.

Steph - A couple of points, if I may.
First, there are federal laws on the books that, if Bush would insist on their enforcement, some of this treasonous BS could be seriously curtailed. There are laws that say that, if you impede the work of military recruiters, or if you prohibit the operation of ROTC, any and all federal funds going to the entity will be suspended. Right off the top, all federal funds going to the city of Berkley can, and should, be suspended due to their hinderance of the ability of the recruiters to do their job. Any school district that denies recruiters access to eligible high schoolers can, and should, have their federal funding revoked. Any high school or college that takes any action that limits the ability of ROTC to function on their campus can, and should, have their funds revoked. San Fran has military facilities within it’s jurisdiction, those facilities could be closed and moved to more friendly areas. The same could, and should, be done to sanctuary cities involved in the whole illegal immigration mess.
Bush refuses to order these actions to commence. This is not saying that these city’s and institution’s freedom of speech or freedom to protest should be abrogated. They can still pass all the laws and take all the actions that they want. The federal government will just not be facilitating such actions out of the public treasury. After all, money is fungable, so a showing that the money it going directly to enhance the activities of Code Pink, etc. in not necessary.
Perhaps you can explain why this great and wonderful Compassionate Conservative President will not do this. And please, I don’t want to hear that it is because it would be unpopular. He is already unpopular, and besides, I am not convinced that it wouldn’t cause him to gain in popularity. Oh sure the media, the ACLU, and the Dems would scream, but they are screaming all the time anyway. Bush needs to grow some cajones. That is what is lacking.
Kathy is right about the pinkos having lost the war against the war. But the more important point, it seems to me, is that the media has lost their war against the war. They have absolutely missed it on the disgust that the majority of the public has for the media. They were sure that they could form the public opinion against the war without too much trouble. Heck, they did it with Vietnam, they would do it again.
The media totally misjudged the extent of the hate and discontent with the media that has been stored up over the decades precisely because of what they did during the Vietnam era. They totally misjudged the strength of the opposition to their globalist, one world, anti-American, anti-war agenda.
Members of the media in America do not think themselves unpatriotic, because they do not recognize patriotism as a legitimate emotion. They think of themselves as citizens of the world, not as Americans The American government formed the League of Nations, and when that failed, the United Nations. That has been a colossal mistake. It has succeeded in organizing the opposition and envy toward America, and given the anti-American zealots, whether from foreign countries or from here, the club with which to beat us over the head.
The media, academia, the entertainment industry, and the Left in general are the home of the globalist citizen of the world types. This has been exacerbated by the corporate movement to global competition and outlook, see George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, etc.
But these folks have totally missed the resistance from us plain old middle class folks. The lower classes are fine with it because it maintains and enhances their government hand outs, their welfare, their nanny stateism, that allows them to continue concentrating on their soap operas and “reality” shows. The upper classes are fine with it because they see themselves as the elite class that will be running the show, and thus exempt from the rules for the “little people.”
There is a post on Blackfive today by Wolf that discusses this as it applies to the media - in this case the Rocky Mountain News. He says the same thing that Kathy said about, that it is going to get worse before improving. In Wolf’s case, he says that it is going to get very ugly.
In my humble opinion, “worse” and “very ugly” don’t begin to describe what I think I see coming down the road. It would not surprize me at all to see a virtual rebellion of the enhanced middle classes against the societal elite in America. Will blood run? I don’t know, but it is not out of the question. Wait until one of those anti-war, anti-American pinkos physically threaten the holder of a concealed weapons permit in a believeable manner. Then we MAY see blood in the street. Then when the patriot is placed on trial for murder and the jury says “Acquitted”, it COULD get really nasty. I am not predicting this scenario. I am not saying that this is what should happen necessarily, I am only saying that I would not be surprized, and that is sure looks like this is the road that we are currently on.
A very long time ago, Thomas Jefferson wrote that the tree of liberty must, occasionally, be watered with the blood of patriots. I believe that we are headed into another of those periodic events.

These people think the Rev Wright is right. All extreme liberals think that way.

Caleb, the last thing I said on that article is that law enforcement and the politicians do nothing. I know there are laws on the books that should and could stop this if only they were enforced.
As for the rest, I’m with you. I foresee a lot worse down the road and I don’t believe we’re in any way prepared for it.
