WHY OBAMA CAN NEVER BE COMMANDER IN CHIEF. HE DOES NOT HONOR THE FLAG. IT IS MUCH WORSE, READ ON
Bet he thought we would forget the flag pin and no hand over the heart. No, No, we never forget affronts to the flag. Would he not render a salute to the flag when necessary?. If not, he should not expect one from our military personnel.
But, according to the referenced article, his campaign workers in Houston adores Che, the Cuban Murderer. If this is true he is toast.
A great read from American Thinker:

Obama won’t wear flag pin but displays Cuban Flag in his Houston Office
Rick Moran
This really is too rich for irony.Barack Obama’s Houston campaign office prominently displays a Cuban flag with a superimposed picture of Che Guevara, the Argentine-born terrorist and revolutionary.
Of course, Obama made an issue of not wearing an American flag pin or placing his hand over his heart during the national anthem, quite rightly pointing out that neither gesture is necessary to be patriotic. But it sure makes him look like a fool when his ultra-left supporters go to work every day under the flag of the dictator Fidel Castro.
More:
It is typical of the left to create a hero out of this murderous thug. What’s important to them is that he “spoke truth to power” – i.e., criticized the United States. How shallow and stupid to overlook the crimes against humanity committed by Guevara and celebrate his anti-Americanism.
About what we’ve come to expect from the left…
clarification: By western states, I mean west of the Mississippi, and east of california.

I don’t personally see what wearing or not wearing an American flag pin has to do with being patriotic or being an American.
If I recall, Barack Obama was born in the United States and took an oath of office to uphold the laws of our country when he became a U.S. Senator. He put his hand on the Bible, not the Quaran, as some have falsely accused him of doing.
There are some fringe elements of the Republican Party who are circulating the propaganda that prisoner of war John McCain, rather than spending over 5 years in a North Korean jail under brutal conditions, spent his incarceration in a hotel, not a prison. What kind of patriots and Americans are these people?
If this is the best argument for voting against Barack Obama (assuming he is their nominee), then the Republican Party uber-right zealots and fanatics are in far more trouble than their revulsion for John McCain indicates.
If there are those who feel so strongly about this then maybe thye can push legislation requiring both political parties’delegates at their conventions this summer to wear one Gold Star pin for every ten U.S. military who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Wearing 400 or 500 Gold Stars surely would honor their sacrifices as much as wearing one American flag pin.

Maybe those who are so upset that Barack Obama doesn’t wear the American flag pin should push legislation to require both political parties’ delegates at their conventions this summer to wear one Gold Star pin for every 10 U.S. military killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. That should be at least as important as wearing one American flag pin.

I just now finished reading that on Lucianne’s website… Exactly.
February 12th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
RP,
First of all Obama did not make an issue of not wearing the pin it was one of those reporters that you camplian about so much….when he should have been asking Obama about issues he was aksing about a pin….I believe Obama could handled the question better but a bigger deal is being made of this than it really is….and as far as the cuban flag in the Huston office…You must remember there is a sizeable cuban community there some of the campaign workers may have displayed the flag…I don’t know for a fact but I believe I can safely say that Obama has probably never been to that campaign office….with their busy schedules the candidates can’t go to every campaign office……You and the thinker are fishing on this one…..

So, you’re saying it’s okay to have a Cuban flag and an image of Che Gueverra in a campaign office while seeking the Presidency of the United States?
February 12th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Bruce, little things usually cause a loss in elections. (Macaca Anyone)
That pin may be a little thing, however the Flag is a huge thing, especially to veterans, of which I am one.
He does not salute the flag, why does he expect others to salute him as CIC.
It wasn’t the questioner who caused this, it was his not wearing the flagpin.
This is bigger than you think. He will win no Southern or Western and very few, if any midwestern states. Do the math.
February 12th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Stephanie,
No….I am not saying its ok………what I said was Obama himself most likely had nothing to do with this and probably still knows nothing about…..the read comes across as if Obama himself is out flying the Cuban flag and that is simply not the truth….who says its just the liberal reporters who put their spin on the issues……

By the way Obama is going to sweep Hillary in the Battle on the Potomac…..
Also I wish you all well on Lincoln’s Birthday……….

RP,
“This is bigger than you think. He will win no Southern or Western and very few, if any midwestern states. Do the math.”
He was never suppose to win any of the states and be as close as he is now….A few months ago everyone on both sides had Hillary as the inevitable winner for the democrats……but it is just not working out that way……….The democrats have turned out in record numbers for the primaries 3X the turnout for the Republicans……I don’t have to do the math look at the results……….

Okay, so, you’re saying it’s okay for people to do things in his name without his knowledge while vying for the President of the United States?
What I’m getting at here, is the liberal Democrats have constantly been on Bush’s case over stupid little things like that but when one of their own does it, it’s okay.
How come it’s okay? Or perhaps I should ask how come it’s not okay that we would disapprove of such actions?
February 12th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
Bruce,
It is time to be brutally honest. I was born and raised in the South and spent 27 years in Texas after retiring from the USAF. I am going to tell you something you have not been told by any of the media: There are no one more unlikely to vote for Obama than Veteran’s or old people. They just happen to be the most reliable voting block. They also rever the flag and are the most patriotic group in the country, and most are for Victory in Iraq and will not vote for anyone who wants a timetable for troop withdrawal.
A huge majority of Obama’s enthusiasts are young people. They are the least dependable voters in the country. They fizzle in the summer and don’t even bother to vote in the election.
These two facts can be verified Presidential voter statistics for as far as you can go back to elections in the country.
No dem has won a southern state (except Arkansas) since 1988.
He may win the dem nomination, and I hope he does. But the general is another story.
As an aside, Hill won’t any of those states either.
No dem can win without winning in the south and west. That was proven out in 2000 and 2004.
Now, would I love to see him kick hillary’s butt. You Bet. We both cannot abide hillary, and we are alike in that respect by a larger margin than the media is telling us. If you go back to all my posts over the last year, I have been saying that hill is not electable, even in her own party. She is the most hated politician to come around in years.
If he is smart, and it appears he is, he will call for hill to drop out of the race. The first one who does that wins.

RP,
Let me be brutally honest with you….the issue of democrats winning in the south goes back to the days of Lyndon Johnson…..When he signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 he said “with the stroke of a pen I have just delivered the south to the GOP for the foreseeable future”…………Its not the flag that is going to be the real issue in the south……”and please I am not playing the victim here”…..if Obama wins the democratic nomination I am sad to say the issue in the south is going to be race……..I would like to think we have progressed a little more than this but the truth there are many people in the south who will not vote for him just because of race…..You in the republican party don’t like to talk about it but the very reason Romney did not carry any of the states in the south was because of his religion…..feelings about race and religion run deep in the south…..that is the issue…..its not a pin………You are right about Veterans and old people in the south who still hang on to the old southern ideals…..and as far as the young voters being undependable they were underestimated in the primaries and I think you are underestimating them now……

Democrats are some of the most racist people I know. They will vote for McCain before they vote for Hussain Obama.
February 12th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
And I won’t vote for a muslem.
February 12th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
Exactly, R’s stand a chance of winning versus Obama, no chance against Hillary. We need to take the Clintons down in Texas with crossover R’s. Rid America of these slime. Obama will not be able to get his foolish policies endorsed even if he wins, we will blitz them in 2010. Don’t let the Devils back in the White House. Don’t do that to our troops.
February 12th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
I will make a bet with you that he will get more of a percentage of the white voter in the south than he will get in the midwest or west. (By west I mean states East of California).
He has already gotten more primary votes from the south than hillary. I do not want to hear that old saw again. Who would have thought that the South would give more votes to a Black Man than a White woman. You will notice that I made no mention to race in my post to yours. I would appreciate it if you do not mention it again. As far as I am concerned he is going to be the democratic nominee. He is not going to be a black nominee, he will be the nominee. If I, a southerner, have came that far, it is time for you to cross that line also.
Having said that, he just lost the general election tonight. He called the Iraq War the Bush Cheney War that should not have been started to start with. Add to the he said tha 9-11 was the fault of the American policy and people. Check the transcript. It is over. He won the democratic nomination tonight, but lost the presidential race 20 minutes later, not because he is Black, but because he is a Very, Very liberal democrat.
You can call John McCain President McCain. Remember the date and time I told you this.
February 13th, 2008 at 11:26 am
RP,
First of all if I offended you let me take a step back and apologize that was not my intent…..But I will always talk openly about race….I think to not talk about it is the danger…..in the old south people did not talk about race it was “just the way it was”…..it wasn’t until open conversations about race were started that we began to make progress…….I also mentioned religion….Tell me why Romney the who’s views seemed to line up with the conservative point of view was not able to win a southern state….many of you here were leaning toward him and said you could or would vote for him…tell me why he did so poorly in the south…….So sorry RP if I think race is relevant to the conversation I will bring it up…I promise you I won’t use it as a cop-out or a plea that I am a victim……..but I will talk about it…….And by the way I hope that you are right about him winning a larger percentage of white votes in the south……Remember this date also because if he wins the democratic nomination (which I think he will after last night) then he will be our next president…..No one thought he would get this far……
As far as his comment on Iraq being the Bush/Cheny war….if this is the first time that you heard him say that then you haven’t been listening to the man….He has said that all along during his campaign………He said that even before he announced he was going to run for president……
Bruce…..formerly dukeblondie……..
” Obama will not be able to get his foolish policies endorsed even if he wins, ”
I am about halfway through Obama’s book The Audacity of Hope….I suggest that you step out of your box a little and read the book it may give you a little more insight to the man and what his policies are about…..In the first chapters he has some very favorable things to say about Ronald Regan….even though he admits he disagrees with Bush on issues he also had some very favorable things to say about Bush…..to quote him he says…”I am obligated to try and see the word through George Bush’s eyes no matter how much I disagree with him”…….He also says “I don’t consider Bush a bad man I assume that he and his administration are trying to do what they think is best for this country”…….Find out a little about the man then give me your opinion……..
George…….
“And I won’t vote for a muslem.”
You are proving RP worng………and by the way he is not a “muslim”……you should get as little more educated on the subject……
February 13th, 2008 at 11:32 am
Bruce, You did not offend me in any way. What offends me is the media and others have made Obama a Black candidate.
He has earned the right to be called a viable candidate with no titles attached to it.

Far-left symbolism, such as that evident in the display of Che Guevara propaganda, seems to be important to the Barack Obama campaign. Four months ago, I pointed out another example of it in a post, Photo on Obama Web Site Raises Questions. In that post, I questioned the subliminal message the liberal Democrat hoped to convey by posting on his campaign website a photo of Obama sitting in front of a framed photo of Muhammad Ali standing over a knocked-down opponent in a boxing ring. Oh, the symbolism!
February 13th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
One wonders if brucie would be so forgiving of a GOP candidate that had a KKK flag flying on a local campaign office? ?
Or perhaps a confederate flag??
February 13th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
IP,
First of all who said I was forgiving…….The point is everyone is slanting this like Obama himself put the Cuban flag in the campaign office……He, himself still may know nothing of this subject….remember he like all of the other candidates he is out on the road giving speeches, participating in debates and shaking hands……..So let’s get it straight never did I say it was OK…..what I did say is you can’t tie this directly to Obama…….Just like there are some Cuban nationals campaigning for Obama.. I am sure there are some KKK members campaigning for the republican nominee (since you guys don’t like to say his name out of respect i won’t mention it either)……I won’t blame that on him…….
Bob,
In the link you provided it stated,
“If I’m reading this obviously-staged photo correctly, Obama wants to be associated with a four-times-married Muslim draft dodger who made millions by beating people up inside a boxing ring.”
First of all this ties in with all of the other people who want to say he is Muslim……..look at what George said “And I won’t vote for a muslem” (he needs to check his spelling)……..Let’s get it straight people…OBAMA IS NOT A MUSLIM………..I don’t care how you keep trying to spin it the simple fact is he is not Muslim….(am I repeating myself enough here)……As far as Mohammed Ali is concerned first of all he did not dodge the draft he refused the draft there is a difference….he did not run to Canada…he faced the consequences for what he believed in….He could have accepted the draft and he was promised that all he would have to do is probably some exhibition fights for the soldiers…….but he stood up for what he believed and said if I have to do time that is what I will do…he didn’t take the easy out…..He gave up his living, lost millions of dollars and spent his time in prision…..Also about his multiple marriages…tell me how many of the (former) republican candidates have had multiple marriages…there were a few of them… Even Ronald Reagan was married twice….oh by the way Obama has only one wife……You republicans are always talking about substance……So when are you going to come up with some real substance in your arguments against Obama……stop spinning and fishing for straws……..

>>OBAMA IS NOT A MUSLIM………..>>
How do you know this?
>>As far as Mohammed Ali is concerned…>>
I agree with you. He was a loudmouth that pretty much lived up to his own boasts, and he served his time for what he believed in. I have no use for boxing, but I have a grudging admiration for the man. It must be particularly difficult for someone with his athletic skills to have to manage with the degree of Parkinsons he suffers.
