WORDS OF A TRAITOR: MURTHA: “WE CAN’T WIN MILITARILY”
Even after all the military gains we have made in Iraq, Ex-Marine Murtha (the biggest insult I can give him)says that we can’t win militarily. here
“Look at all the people that have been displaced, all the [lost] oil production, unemployment, all those type of things,” said Rep. John P. Murtha, chairman of Appropriations defense subcommittee. “We can’t win militarily.”
The Pennsylvania Democrat conceded violence was down dramatically and some normalcy restored on Iraq’s streets, but he said U.S. victory remains unattainable as long as Baghdad fails to pass national reconciliation laws.
“To change the political law, it doesn’t seem to me you need the military stability,” Mr. Murtha told reporters on Capitol Hill.
The dim view of U.S. military progress in Iraq and a resolve to force a pullout have been echoed by the two top Democrats on Capitol Hill — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
The funding standoff will force the Pentagon to make budget cuts at bases in the U.S. to cover the costs of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, including sending furlough notices to as many as 100,000 civilian employees, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said.
Send to all your democrat friends and ask why he and the democratic congress are not traitors!!!

It’s the most cynical politics I’ve seen in a long time, RP. They keep moving the goal posts on what they consider progress. It’s not fooling anyone either if the latest ratings on the Congress are any indication.
One of these days Mr. Murtha will have to give an accounting.. and I wouldn’t want to be him.

“Send to all your democrat friends and ask why he and the democratic congress are not traitors!!!”
Because to him and others like him, they aren’t traitors. They believe they know more than we do about this country and further, that they are saving us from ourselves.
When you start asking the ‘why’ questions you start getting called names before too long.

We should be proud to be called names by Libs.

You want to ask a “why” question? I have a “why” question. Why am I not seeing George Bush all over the TV news shows calling out Murtha by name and detailing his perfidy. Why does George Bush simply stroll along as if nothing has happened or nothing has been said. Does George Bush NOT understand that a charge left undenied leaves many, many people with the view that it must be true, at least in part. Or is his arrogance so pervasive that he doesn’t care what the public thinks. No, he can’t win over the nutroots of the Left. Yes, there are people that will stick with him regardless of right or wrong. But there are millions and millions of people that do not feel totally sure one way or the other, and they are looking for some sign out of the White House that says that what Murtha says is not right. Millions of people will say that an elected Congressman certainly wouldn’t lie about somethink like that. They will say that Murtha get briefings that include military secrets and he knows more than we do. These people will be wrong, but that is not the point, and the suspicion still lingers in the mind of the public that there MUST be some truth to what Murtha says because Bush doesn’t deny it. Instead Bush simply says; “Don’t question me. Trust me.” It is a Hell of a way to run a railroad or a Presidential administration.

Caleb. He should have called him out>

Caleb, it’s that disconnect thing. Bush is short on empathy. Just because its apparent to him to that Murtha is beyond idiocy, he thinks it’s apparent to others, too… which is not the case for the average American.

The like of murtha WON’T let America win, the sooner people realise that the better.
