Thereby handing congressional Republicans a golden opportunity.
Nancy Pelosi is not pleased.

Finally Something Conservatives and Democrats Can Agree On

Two-thirds of democrats don’t consider themselves in good mental health. (The other third just don’t know it yet.) How’s that for scientific affirmation of the term ‘loony left’?
Jon Ham (yes that’s Mary Katherine’s dad) says this is why the media is so depressing. Good point.
Hat tip: Lucianne.

Steyn on Multiculturalism

MK has a must see video of Mark Steyn discussing the most baffling of all ‘isms’, multiculturalism. Priceless. Go. See it. Really. Awesome.
I love Mark Steyn, he’s one stolen treasure from Britain-not-europe.

And Another Faker At the CNN debate

Michele Malkin has done an excellent job of rounding up the democrat ringers at the CNN debate Liberal Hack Attack Job at CNN. Steph linked the story in her post here. It’s all over the right side of the ’sphere with bits and morsels. Even MM doesn’t have all of the culprits. But so [...]

Perhaps the MSM loves conservatives, after all.

What is rocking the blogworld this morning are the upcoming scandals about the CNN/YouTube Republican Debate last night. I have to admit I didn’t watch it precisely because it was CNN/YouTube but apparently I didn’t miss much because the actual news out of it comes from behind the scenes and CNN’s clean up crew must [...]

The CNNYouTube Interrogation

It was supposed to be a debate, you know, such as discussing the merits of amnesty, gun control, gay marriage…. and to some degree those issues were brought forward. But here’s a hint CNN, Rudy Guiliani’s travel plans while mayor is not an issue for debate. That’s a political hit. I’m not a Rudy fan, [...]

Godspeed Henry Hyde

Henry Hyde, 83, the former Congressman from the western suburbs of Chicago has died. He presided over the judiciary committee during the impeachment of Bill Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice in 1999 and became a media-derided figure because of it. In a smear attempt that democrats/media must be proud of they attempted to [...]

Bill Clinton – Against the War Before He Was For It

Bill Clinton is the gift that keeps on giving to the Obama campaign:
DES MOINES, Iowa – As only he can do, Bill Clinton packed campaign venues across eastern Iowa and awed Democratic voters with a compelling case for his wife’s candidacy. He was unscripted, in-depth and generous.
He also was long-winded, misleading and self-absorbed.
“Good Bill” [...]

Selling Utopia

On another blog at another time, there was a discussion about Ron Paul, wherein the person supporting Paul’s positions was stating that Paul was closest to our founding fathers in that he is a proponent of Lockean theory. The counterargument stated that Lockean theory was only a part of the influence that led to not [...]

The All Hit Hillary Parade

Hillary’s tag line is that she is the only electable democrat. She needs to rethink that.
Fred Thompson beats her by 4 points and that’s in a Zogby poll, who is not exactly a republican friendly pollster.

I thought the Chinese dishwashers were Hillary’s main foreign support. I was wrong. The drug cartels in TexMex are [...]

A Christmas Poll

No – not the North Pole.
Have you been greeted recently with “Happy Holidays” the politically correct way to avoid saying that awful SHHHH! “Christ” word? You can say almost any expletive in public these days, but unless you are swearing, you’d better not say “Jesus Christ” or you’ll be ‘infringing on someone’s right not [...]

Why Is FOX biased against Fred Thompson?

Immigration.
All during immigration debates the republicans featured in commentary on FOX agreed with GWB’s stance on immigration and they are largely responsible for the democrat majorities in Congress today. It’s more convenient for power brokers of both parties to blame Iraq, but the responsibility lies with the stupidity of legislators who vote for amnesty against [...]

Saving You Saving Me

Another dog hero story…
BOISE, Idaho (AP) – Sometimes rescuers need to be rescued, too.
Candace Jennings was sleeping on the couch when she was nudged awake by her dog, Anna, to find her mobile home engulfed in flames early Thanksgiving Day. The blond heeler, an abused stray dog Jennings had adopted from an animal shelter, whined [...]

Books I’d like to see made into movies

As most anyone who loves movies knows, Hollywood has been mining literature for scripts almost from the start. Some books, however, simply cannot be made into movies. Either characters don’t translate well to the big screen, or situations don’t, such as exposition that takes place largely inside a character’s mind, or the media are simply [...]
