VRWC, Part II
When bad things happen to liberals it is always the conservatives’ fault.
Those in the ‘Blame America First’ crowd are also accustomed to jumping to conclusions of the VRWC variety. Last night Randi Rhodes, Err-America talk show hose was mugged in NYC. Unfortunately muggings happen. I’m sorry she was hurt. But here is the radio station’s response:
Morning talk host, Lionel filled in for Rhodes on Monday, but did not say anything about why she wasn’t on hand to do her show. The Randi Rhodes board reports that Sam Seder, who does a Sunday afternoon show for AAR, will be filling on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Elliott was extremely agitated when he reported on the incident. He opened his show by saying “it is with sadness that tonight I inform you that my Air America colleague Randi Rhodes was assaulted last night while walking her dog near her New York City home.”
Pointing out that Rhodes was wearing a jogging suit and displayed no purse or jewelry, Elliott speculated that “this does not appear to me to be a standard grab the money and run mugging.”
“Is this an attempt by the right wing hate machine to silence one of our own,” he asked. “Are we threatening them. Are they afraid that we’re winning. Are they trying to silence intimidate us.”
Outrageous!
It’s not been that long ago that a group of liberal students at GWU in DC decided to throw a nasty bigoted cloud over the Horowitz Islamo-fascism awareness conference coming to the campus by putting out offensive fliers all over the university. The President of the school warned that the penalties for that would be expulsion, that is until he discovered that it was a liberal group who was trying to show ‘what bigots the conservatives are’:
The students said they hung the fliers - which contained the text “Hate Muslims? So do we!!!†- to exemplify the racism of an upcoming conservative event called Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week. The event’s organizers, the Young America’s Foundation, were falsely named as contacts on the poster. The posters were created by the Students for Conservativo Fascism-Awareness, GW students who are members of the GW Campus Anti-War Network
The rest of the story is here.
I don’t have to wonder whether apologies to the conservatives who were slandered are forthcoming.
And of course we know who is to blame for the failure of SCHIP. It’s those republicans who hate sick children. More vast right wing hate, thought not in the way they mean.
UPDATE: Jonn has the real story. Astonishing!

Randi Rhodes was mugged in NYC…
I want to say first off I didn’t do it, and I have an alibi… Besides she isn’t worth the toll charges to get from my Staten Island home to whereever she lives in Manhattan.
But it is amazing how the extreme left wing libs are so eager to point fingers at conservatives with no evidence what so ever to back it up.

You won’t believe it Darrell, but she wasn’t mugged after all.
But knowing you are from NYC, I was worried for a while. LOL!

Yeah if it was a pedophile or lowlife scumbag drug pusher, liberals would be coddling them and whining about their rights to be considered innocent until proven guilty and then only after numerous appeals. But if they can lay it on Conservatives, oh just hang em high and from the nearest tree, don’t worry about evidence and trials and all that, that’s only for the scumbags of the world.

We need more personal responsibility in politics on all sides, combined with a willingness to listen to different ideas. For example, because I am not a current or former failed Senator, Congressman or Governor, the Democratic party has excluded me from the televised debates even though I am the new ideological leader of the Democratic party as you can see at frankynch.org and franklynch.name

How dare they? Once this would have been labeled slander or libel. With absolutely no evidence at all, he points the finger at conservatives. It reminds me of Nero blaming the Christians when he burned down Rome. Who needs evidence when you’re rounding up a good witch hunt?

[…] The police spokesman, who asked not to be identified because of department policy, said that police “do not investigate things that are unreported,” but encouraged Rhodes to report the incident if she would like police to investigate the matter. Police later attempted to contact Rhodes to see whether she wanted to file a report. Gaulin said Rhodes declined. FOXNews. Hat tip Hang Right Politics. […]
