Lance Corporal Tatum just became another Marine who will be cleared of any wrongdoing by Marine Prosecuters in the almost finished courts-martial trial of the 8 Marines accused by the Ex-Marine congressman John Murtha here.

There is only one shooter left to have his case disposed of. That is the SSGT that led the group of Marines. All the rest of the shooters that did not cop a plea have been exonerated by Gen. Mattis on recommendation of the article 32 hearing officer. The SSGT has had his article 32 hearing recently, but I have not heard whether the hearing officer recommended dropping charges or going forward with the courts martial. I hope that a decision will come REAL soon. Gen. Mattis is being nominated for his fourth star and is, of course, leaving command of the 1MEF in San Diego. I desperately want the last of the Marines to have his case disposed of by Gen. Mattis, just like all the others did. The incoming replacement for Gen. Mattis at 1MEF is an Marine aviator. That is a strange person to command a MEF. He is already a Gen. and a CAG, but he has NEVER be a ground pounder, and never experienced the vicissitudes of instant decision making in a hot environment with bullets flying and Marines dying.

Caleb, when he is exhonerated, we need to lead a campaign to have Murtha removed from office.
He is truly an ex-marine and you know what that is!!!

You have obviously never made a high G pullout over sam’s, triple A’s, etc. nor encaged in close air support. You don’t know that he has NEVER been a ground pounder.

I’m so glad you posted this link, RP. Murtha’s only response was the trial isn’t over yet. Huh? Does that mean he’s hoping they are guilty?
Of course it does. Murtha is a traitor.
Of course he says the dems will gain 40-50 seats in the House in ‘08, too. Are there no patriots in Pennsylvania?
