Hang Right Politics

Some months ago, when the six “flying Imams” were doing their nonsense, I posted here that we have a right to be “Islamophobic” and that the Muslims themselves are to blame. (“Right” not in a constitutional sense, but a figurative sense.) I still hold to that. I also think we have a right—nay, a duty—to make fun of the jihadists.

You know why? Cultural sensitivity is one thing. Walking on eggshells because we don’t know what will set these nuts off is something else entirely.

Let’s review just a mere handful of things that can bring on the jihad, shall we?

1. Some badly drawn cartoons—some of them fakes—send jihadists into riotous, murderous rages.
2. The pope making historical remarks about violence send jihadists into jihad rage.
3. A false story in Newsweek about Korans flushed down a toilet create a jihad rage, and several deaths.
4. Israel’s very existence creates a daily jihad rage.
5. The knighting of Salman Rushdie causes murderous jihad rage because he had a fatwah on him—over a book that 99.9999% of Muslims have never read, and containing nothing that warranted the fatwah in the first place.

And so on. It’s all very tiresome.

Recently, there was a full-fledged profile of “Islamic Rage Boy,” a jihad nutball who gets his raging face with bulging eyeballs in front of the cameras quite often. Christopher Hitchens talks about this dude in the larger context that we need to stop doing Islamic Rage Boy’s work for him—in other words, stop capitulating to these sons of perdition every time they go on a rampage—and I heartily agree.

I also believe it’s high time to really start lambasting these nuts, and not just in the “safe” confines of the web. They are monsters who use fear and intimidation to have their way, and the ultimate path to victory over them is to take away that power. One way is through humor.

Instead of just talking about a “religion of peace” for the benefit of those Muslims who don’t go on the jihad, the government should also be using the full force of propaganda, a la World War II, to really lambaste our enemy. Make our enemy appear weak, stupid, worthless and ultimately, beatable.

So, without further blah, blah from me, I give you Islamic Rage Boy!
