Does Anyone Care About Hollywood?
Folks, here’s a confession. It’s been really hard to blog. I am so disgusted at Congress, I am disgusted with the media, I am continually disgusted by the Democrats. If the news isn’t covering “how bad things are in Iraq”, or Congressional repudiation of the President’s plans for Iraq, or global warming, then they are busy covering Anna Nicole Smith and lately Britney Spears. Did you know that she shaved all of her hair off? Did you know that she may or may not have checked herself in (then out of rehab)?
DO YOU CARE? You do not indulge a spoiled child. We should not indulge Hollywood. I could care less. Why don’t reporters cover some real news for a change?
Now I’ve voiced my pet peeve of the week. It’s your turn.

I’m really irritated with how the democrats are enjoying destroying this country.
I get irritated with people who have BDS and are not leftists.
Mostly I try not to get angry as it is such a negative emotion and takes so much out of me, but Pelosi and Reid are slowly making me burn.

I’m sick and tired of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levin, Joe Biden, Ted (hicup) Kennedy, the MSM, and especially the hollywood crowd. And I am very disgusted with the msm for covering the AN Smith death (it’s another Terry Schiavo), and the Speers thing and all the award shows where they just pant over each other and slap each other on the back with their ridiculous worship of superficiality. I will include Fox News in this disgust because they’ve certainly done more than their share to cover all this nonsense. I don’t really watch much tv anymore (except 24), but every single time I tune in, all I get is Anna Nicole and Brittany and how evil the United States has become. I know better. I believe many people know better. It is an insult to the total sum of our integrity.

RP, did you sell the condo? BTW, a couple of weeks ago I bought some CDs from TV. Came from Time/Life and are country songs. All the great oldies. I haven’t heard a bad one yet. Just got them yesterday and we played them in the car on the way here.

I’m not a regular TV watcher either, SK. My husband is watching it now and I’m doing this and trying to read.
They need to get Smith buried before she rots. And what’s wrong with her being buried next to her son? And what a strange will to leave out future children. OK, I’ll stop!

Yep, I agree Jeanette. I’m real sorry she passed away, but this is getting ridiculous.
I couldn’t care less where she is buried, or where I’m buried for that matter, I won’t know anything about it. BTW I have to confess that as I’m on this computer, I’m also watching “Castaway” on ABC. One of Hanks’ finest (even though I could not care less about anybody in H’wood). LOL

And another thing I’m about to hate: taxes! I spent a lot of time this afternoon just organizing everything. I’m pretty certain we’re going to owe but I should know in a few days. Then I’ll sit on the tax return until April 15th.

I thought you were a little tough on us southerners but didn’t say anything. Of course I haven’t really been one in over 30 years, but I do think southerners are a hospitable bunch. Perhaps you’ve just run into a bad lot.

OK, forget I made the comment. After all, I haven’t complained when anyone talks about Northeasterners. I laugh about it instead. Again, I’m very sorry but I was so ticked off at what Caleb had to say and then RP mentioned Southerners and it just set me off on the wrong tangent instead of just calling Caleb a curmudgeon. Misdirected anger. Please forgive me.

If I didn’t like Southerners and the South I wouldn’t have spent most of my adult life here. We have lots of Southern friends. I can’t say I’m sorry enough times. Kathy did right by everyone though. She set me straight.

Jeanette, Sold the condo. Traveling to ET on Tuesday and will be looking for houses as soon as we get off the plane. Must be out of my house on 29 March.
