Another Intern Fondling Incident

This time it’s a South Dakota state senator. The state senate voted to censure him rather than expel him. The senator admitted sharing a bed with the intern in the fall prior to his re-election.

Where is the media outrage? Oh wait, silly me, I forget. This was Democratic state senator, Dan Sutton. Of course he’s given a pass. Need I ask what would have happened if he’d been a Republican?

The South Dakota Senate on Wednesday refused to expel a lawmaker accused of fondling an 18-year-old legislative intern in a motel bed, but voted to censure him instead.

Democratic Sen. Dan Sutton had admitted sharing a bed with the intern last winter but denied groping him.

The censure amounts to a public reprimand that has no effect on Sutton’s legislative powers.

I really had to dig to find a link to this story, South Dakota state senator censured but not expelled after sharing bed with intern.

I guess they hold Republicans to a higher standard than dems.

That is easy to do since the dems are such low-lifes.

What is the make up of the SD Senate?

  3. Jeanette Says:

I guess this senator is the Michael Jackson of the SD political world. He goes to bed with them but doesn’t do anything.

Why did an 18 year old go to bed with another man? I feel uncomfortable sleeping with female relatives when the family gathers and we have to be creative in sleeping arrangements. I certainly wouldn’t sleep with a “friend” of the family.

    20 Republicans, 15 Democrats.

Then we have Republicans to thank for this although it looks as though the vote to expel was straight party lines. There must be a minimum number of yes votes to get it done.
