Air America Files For Bankruptcy

Fox News report that AP is reporting that Air America has filed for bankruptcy.

Air America Radio, a liberal talk and news radio network that features the comedian Al Franken, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a network official told The AP.
The network had denied rumors just a month ago that it would file for bankruptcy. On Friday, Air America spokeswoman Jaime Horn told The Associated Press that the filing became necessary only recently after negotiations with a creditor from the company’s early days broke down.The network will stay on the air while it resolves issues with its creditors, Horn said. In addition to Franken, the network also features shows from liberal talk show host Randi Rhodes and Jerry Springer.
Horn declined to name the creditor with which talks had reached a logjam. The company will operate in the interim with funding from its current investor group.
Does this even register on the radar screen? I bet the Koskids are watching each other’s heads explode.

Let’s hope for Chapter 7 when they go out of business for good. This is only re-organization and from my work in a previous life, the creditors all have to file a claim and will settle on pennies on the dollar. The ones owed not so much won’t get anything. This is a crooked way to run a business.

I am not at all surprised this happened, in fact, I’d have been surprised had it not happened. There is not a market for the type of nonsense they dished out. It was only a matter of “when” this was going to happen and it did.

Air America was a projectile-vomit spew of Randy Roads/Al Franken’s undigested stomach-pump junk food for the left-wing mind [pardon the oxymoron]. It paid stations to run its drivel, since the audience ranged from slim to none and advertisers wouldn’t run ads on such an idiotic set of programs.
I listened only a few times, and between the vulgarities, the obscenities, and the inanities, there was nothing but idle chatter about the weather. Otherwise just chewing gum for the left-wing mind [again, pardon the oxymoron].
But I watched an ultra-left professor at the U. of Minnesota-Duluth last night on The Factor and this obese idiot claimed Bush was behind the 9/11 disaster and had it staged with thousands of accomplices. UWis-Madison has an adjunct prof making his students buy a book touting the same insane lunacy.
Franken just moved to Minnesota, to be closer to his mental colleagues who elected the brain-challenged buffoon-wrestler Jesse Ventura. The dumb Swedes and Norwegians there eat lutefisk and adore Garrison Keillor. Something in the water, I guess. By the way, Minnesota and Wisconsin lakes are where the loon is found more than anywhere else. Coincidence?
