Things Too Ridiculous For Words
I’m stunned.
Cindy Sheehan a finalist for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Stunned. Beyond words.

If I was still in the Navy, I would use an abbreviation. The first letter is B, and the last letter is D, and I think maybe the letter after E in the alphabet goes in between.
OT - After being on the waiting list for over two years, I am now allowed to comment at Lucianne. I am not sure where to begin, but tonight I will be logging in and snooping around.

Rory,
I did not know that they had a “World’s biggest Horses Ass” award.

I sent them an email every few months to check up, and finally, last week, I got a response, that said, 2 years is about right! The next day I got my email to pick an account name!

This is especially disappointing, since the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature (Orhan Pamuk, announced today) was finally a decent writer, and not some nut-job, pseudo-political hack. I let a huge sigh of relief when I found out.
Then I turn on my laptop and bring up Drudge, and in big red letters, “Cindy Sheehan a finalist for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
What a load of sh*t. They’re just begging to be relegated into obscurity.

Rory - I hardly even take the science awards seriously lately - it’s so agenda driven.
Carter has won it, as did Arafat - ’nuff said on the quality of the Nobel peace prize selections, even UN Chief Kantfindi Anus has been recognized.
It’s useless.

Is she really a nominee or is it wishful thinking?
October 12th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
Doesn’t it take you out of consideration if you announce you’re a finalist?

IP - Lucianne.com is a blog run by Lucianne Gold. She was the lady that Linda Tripp told her story to. I used to frequent it every day, but got tired of not being able to comment.

It looks like I can post articles from the original source. I can’t use a portal, like Townhall, or Real Clear Politics, or Yahoo. I have to cite the orignal source. They have a TON of rules!

The Nobel Peace prize quite being a meaningful award when they started using it to make political statements. I.e., when they awarded it Jimmah.

[…] She was singing like a rooster so much about being a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and now… The actual recipient is someone very different… someone her son Casey and so many of our troops would have approved of: Bangladesh’s Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank have been awarded the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. Mr Yunus, an economist, founded the bank, which is one of the pioneers of micro-credit lending schemes for the poor in Bangladesh. […]
