Senator Allen and the Jew-hating Reporter
Kevin Aylward has a great piece about Sen. George Allen’s, righteous indignation toward reporter, Peggy Fox, and her incredibly racist attempt to make his mother’s Jewish background a negative in a recent debate. Go to Kevin’s piece and watch the video of the exchange.
As I said in my comments there, Allen will win this race. The Webb campaign made a big mistake going after his mother.

This is one reason so many good people don’t want to go into politics.
If George Allen’s mother is Jewish and didn’t want to talk about her father being put to death in the concentration camps, even to her family, that’s her right.
I envy him because his Jewish blood comes from his mother and that makes him Jewish by ethnicity if not by religion. Mine comes to me by my father and so I am not included, but I have just a drop as the family says. Even so, I’m proud of that drop.
He gave a good answer and should be applauded for the way he handled himself. Why do we constantly try to make Jews feel out of place? Haven’t they suffered enough throughout the ages? That was a cheap shot going after his mother and his ethnicity.

I think that fool reporter believes in the stereotype that republicans are racists, and she thinks revealing his background will cost him votes.
Proof yet again it is the liberals who are racists.
If anything, the way he handled this has gained him votes. Among republicans, Allen’s heritage works in his favor.
And going after the mother after what she has endured has to be in the training manual for journalists. Call it Despicable 101. They all took that course.

I don’t think this reporter knows that one thing you never bring into any argument or discussion – especially a political one – is the opponent’s mother.
Perhaps this Peggy Fox would never dare bring any mention of Bill Clinton’s (late) mother into any political argument or discussion with him. Just sayin’.
