Another Democratic Myth Exposed

HRP reader, Daniel, posted a link to an article written in March about a Gallup poll regarding support for Israel by party. Republicans and Democrats Look at the Arab-Israeli Conflict

The majority of Jews in America are Democrats, but the survey shows that it is Republicans, not Democrats, who are more solidly behind Israel.

Overall, they found 72 percent of Republicans and 47 percent of Democrats sympathize more with Israelis than Palestinians.

I find this shameful, but not really surprising. I hope that Jews in America will wake up to this fact and join the Republican party. Support for Israel is not the tenet of the Democratic party that it once was. I guess it is inevitable that when you try to be everything to everybody, there are going to be clashes within the factions.

    Thanks guys gals

To give some insight into this profound and deep subject ya’al have to understand a tremendous irony.

Everyone asks, well it is the Republicans who love Israel and the liberals who obsses with the so called “Palastinians”, so why in the world do most Jews vote Dem??

The unfortunate truth is that most secular/reform Jews are the biggest supporters of the Palastinian myth on earth. If anyone has read my previous comments here and at pollipundit on this issue, you would understand that this explanis the suicidal attitude of the leftis secular Jews in Israel too.

Conversly, the religious/traditional.orthodox Jews are all right wing, although they only make up a small percentage of the Jewish population. They voted about 90% for Bush.

Their counterparts in Israel are the ones living in Judea and Samaria (and in Gaza before they were expelled). They are a growing faction in Israel who will eventually takeover and god willing, fight for the land of Israel.

    Food for thought:

When was the last time that Congress opposed, much less Filibustered such a minor nomination as Ambass. to UN??

    Never!

Well, all 55 Dem. scum along with some liberal Republicans vociferously filibustered the nomination of Bolton.

What is the most notorious position of Bolton in regard to the UN?

    Take a wild guess!

    And the Dems Filibustered???!!

What does this say about them?

    Go figure

Yeah, well, daniel’s insight is well taken. But it isn’t much different than trying to understand why blacks in America continue to support the Democratic party.

Republicans would actually help them rebuild their family values and experience the American dream. We would even educate them. Democrats want them to remain dependent and dumb, and to feel that they have no chance other than government distributed crumbs. So far, the Democrats are easily winning, especially since they are supported by Entertainment, Media, Academia, et al. I am sure the liberal Jewish experience is similar.

I actually know of a reform rabbi (in GA) who is a staunch Republican. Not sure if he preached that from the pulpit, however.

I dont know if ya’al have been following the sickening story of the world liberals trying to arrange a gay parade in the holy city of Jerusalem!!!

Well, they just collected 100,000 signatures from israelis in protest of this event. Unfortunately, i doubt that many of them were Reform.

Oh! and by the way I’m not Daniel Pipes if thats what you meant

    Link

Well, whichever Daniel you are, you’re famous with us!

Hadn’t heard about the gay parade.

  7. Falcon Says:

I have to say, I’m in agreement with Bruce on this one. The Jewish experience with Democrats IS very similar to the Black experience.

Older Jews remember a Democrat leadership that fought the Nazis to rescue them from that evil and help them create a Jewish state. Older Blacks remember Dem leadership as the group that supported Civil Rights.

It doesn’t really matter that both these things are only half true, that’s the connection to the party that’s made. There’s a built-in loyalty largely because Dems have successfully created a myth of caring about both groups when they actually care about neither.
